The intersection of climate, elections, and the rights of people with disabilities has yet to receive the attention it deserves among the many pressing issues of today. ♿💥 Recognizing that the democratic and electoral rights of people with disabilities are increasingly at risk due to climate change, organizations of people with disabilities, along with IFES representatives from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, have gathered in Kathmandu from September 2-4 to discuss this critical issue. 💡🎯 They aim to develop advocacy strategies to bring this issue to the forefront and ensure it receives proper attention from their governments, political parties, civil society, and other stakeholders in their respective countries.
